  1. Thought I recognised a young Robin, we had one in our garden a while ago, hoping it will stay

    1. I love the robins. Saw it again this morning in the same area, hoping it stays safe (there's buzzards and sparrowhawks in this area so it's got a fair bit to contend with).

  2. I love the feeling of slowly coming up on birds that you give in these photos.

  3. Really?! I didn't realize until now that your English robins look very different from ours. So cute! :-)

    1. Yes, our robins are smaller and rounder than yours :) They are absolutely adorable and can be very tame indeed - they think nothing of landing a few feet away and greeding for food. Love them!

  4. Ms. M chased off a great barred owl(they're big)this morning... she said it was strutting along what we call rabbit alley like "the great Cham", probably looking for a tasty bite... no photo, unfortunately...

    1. Wow! We're troubled with sparrowhawks at present, keeps picking off the finches. The robins seem safe at present (though a young one did fly into the window a month ago, couldn't save it). Sparrowhawk is much smaller than your owl, though! :)
