  1. it's quite amazing how much your woodlands resemble our woodlands: same trees, mushrooms(mostly), creeks, etc. lately we've accumulated a lot of rabbits; they give the deer and elk some company...

    1. Elk! Wow :) We just have the deer. As for rabbits - I didn't think we had any, but apparently they gather on one of the meadows at dawn and can be seen more easily in late autumn / winter when the grass etc has died back a little. Going to go see them (I hope) soon :)

  2. I am at the beach so we haven't been seeing mushrooms. These are great shots and I love the photo of the tree- all so peaceful

    1. Thank you :) Ah, the beach - sounds fun! We were going to go to the seaside at some point but the weather's been too rotten for it.

  3. Mushrooms are absolutely wonderful. Your pictures are amazing and they do remind me of the early works of Beatrix Potter. Lovely addition to your amazing articles.

    1. Funny you should say that - after my friend and I took these photos I emailed her the Beatrix Potter fungi illustrations! I'd been telling her about them on our walk :)
